I was shocked by the lack of cleanliness in the room. The shower tray was dangerously broken, making it feel like I could fall through at any moment. Communication with hotel staff was non-existent, which made my stay even more frustrating.

the folly is perfectly located in the center of town, just a short walk to the beach, which was great after a day full of driving. the staff were super friendly and made us feel welcome. i also loved how nice the breakfast selection was, especially the kippers and bacon.

the location of the folly hotel is amazing, right by the sea and close to the beach. the room i got was nice and clean which i really appreciated. also the breakfast was fresh and tasty, they had great coffee too. staff were friendly and made me feel welcome. i loved the comfy bed, slept like a baby!

It was just an excellent fit for a rapid stop in North Berwick with exceptional value. The building has an interesting history which adds character. Look for nearby cafes for breakfast options.

We only stayed for a night, but it was pretty awesome! The room was clean and comfy, the bed felt like a cloud. They had a great selection of snacks, like crisps and cakes, which was such a nice touch. Only wish breakfast had an eggs benedict option, but the scrambled eggs were solid.
